SLAYER's LOMBARDO Completes Drum Tracks For New GRIP INC. Album

SLAYER drummer Dave Lombardo has finished laying down his tracks for the fourth GRIP INC. album, according to a post on his official web site. The follow-up to 1999's "Solidify" is being recorded at Woodhouse Studio in Hagen, Germany and is tentatively due in early 2004 through SPV/Steamhammer Records in Europe, JVC Records in Japan and an as-yet-undetermined label in North America.

In other news, Lombardo's web site is currently offering downloads of two songs in video (.mpg) format from SLAYER's performance at Sweden's Hultsfred festival in 2002. Check them out:

SLAYER have written seven songs for a new album they hope to have out early next year. The follow-up to 2001's "God Hates Us All" will mark the group's first studio release since 1990's "Seasons In The Abyss" to feature Lombardo, who rejoined the group two years ago. In the meantime, the band headline the Jagermeister Fall Music Tour with HATEBREED and ARCH ENEMY beginning on October 8 in Minneapolis.
